What is Paperboy?

Paperboy is a French service company that physically receives your mail in France (Narbonne), scans it and then forwards it to your inbox.

Mail handling

What happens to my mail once it has been received?

Once received, your mail is stored and sorted. Once a year, we forward it to the address of your choice or destroy it on request. If you wish, you can also request forwarding at any time without waiting.

Do I have to redirect all my mail to Paperboy?

No, it’s not compulsory. Paperboy scans the mail it receives and sends it to your inbox. You can choose which mail you receive by giving (or not) your personal Paperboy address to selected contacts.

Can I choose which mail you open?

Yes. With the confidential subscription, you’re notified by email of every incoming item thanks to the scan of the envelope. You can then instruct us to open the item to scan it if you wish.

Confidentiality

Will my mail be read?

No. We don’t read your mail, except on specific request.

We receive hundreds of letters a day and efficiency is essential. In addition, all our employees are bound by a confidentiality agreement.

Is it risky to receive my postal mail electronically?

No. Security is our priority. All our communications are protected and encrypted by protocol.

However, you should remain vigilant: it’s best to choose an email client that can read PDFs without downloading them. After reading your mail in a public place (internet café, hotel), remember to log out of your inbox and close the session. Also delete the PDF file from the computer if you downloaded it.

 

Is it risky to entrust my postal mail to you?

That’s precisely why we created Paperboy. With Paperboy, your mail is safe with a known and recognised organisation.

How do I subscribe to Paperboy?

You subscribe directly online on our website.

Can I pay several months in advance before a long trip?

Yes, it’s possible. There are two subscription options: monthly and annual. You can therefore choose the annual plan, knowing that you can cancel your contract at its renewal date.

Do I need to change my address to use Paperboy?

Yes, you need to replace your current address with your personal Paperboy address. There are two ways to do this :

– give your Paperboy address to your contacts. The address is provided to you as soon as you sign up,

– have your mail redirected to your Paperboy address via La Poste’s mail forwarding service.

How do I cancel my Paperboy subscription?

You can close your Paperboy account at any time by contacting us by email or chat. On receipt, we confirm the end date of your current commitment and cancel your subscription.

Forwarding

Can I choose to receive some mail physically?

Yes, you can choose which mail you want to receive and we’ll prepare the shipment accordingly. Simply reply to the email notifying you of the mail.

You can also request the destruction of certain items to avoid sending them in the next forwarding.

How much does it cost to forward my mail?

The cost of forwarding depends on the weight of the mail, the chosen carrier and the destination. We inform you of the price before any forwarding. Handling fees are charged per shipment: €5 up to 2 kg, €10 from 2 to 10 kg, €13 over 10 kg, unless forwarding is included in your subscription.
